Our Mission
What makes Moomoo's Studio unique?
At Moomoo's Studio, we empower students to embrace creativity, a growth mindset, open communication, happiness, and healthy movement. Our mission is to provide every student with a flexible and personalized experience, tailored to their unique needs. We aim to help students become effective problem-solvers and lifelong learners. As a small but dedicated business, we take pride in providing a world-class studio experience where each student feels safe and welcome. Our studios feature renowned Harlequin flooring, professional ballet barres and mirrors, and exercise equipment.
What do we do at Moomoo's Studio?
Dance is at the heart of what we do. It offers countless benefits, including fostering discipline, determination, and elegance. However, we recognize that ballet—and dance in general—is not a one-size-fits-all art form. Every body is unique, which is why we prioritize creating customized dance-based exercise programs that nurture healthier joints and happier bodies.​​​

In addition to our diverse range of dance programs, we also provide a variety of afterschool programs: subject-specific tutoring, PA day classes, full-day camps, and drop-in dance workshops.

Our Faculty
Ms. Deeana is the founder and studio director of Moomoo's Studio. She was born and raised in Canada and holds an undergraduate degree in Human Biology, Animal Physiology, and French Linguistics from the University of Toronto. She later earned a Bachelor of Education from York University, specializing in Biology and French. Deeana is also a certified teacher with the Ontario College of Teachers, and teaches in the York Region District School Board. Her passion for teaching was sparked when she began instructing classes in her first love—dance.

Deeana’s journey in dance began at the age of 5 when she took her first ballet lessons at The School of Toronto City Ballet. She quickly fell in love with the art form, completing all levels of the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) syllabus, including the prestigious Solo Seal Award examination. She has competed in local dance competitions such as StarCatchers and Galaxy of the Stars, earning multiple Judges’ Choice and overall awards. In 2015, Deeana reached the Semi-Finals of the Genée International Ballet Competition (now the Margot Fonteyn International Ballet Competition) in London, UK. Her versatility extends to other styles of dance, including contemporary, hip-hop, K-pop, and Chinese dance.

Deeana furthered her dedication to dance education by completing the Certificate of Ballet Teaching Studies with the RAD, earning her status as a Registered Teacher. Her diverse interests and deep passion for teaching inspired her to become an entrepreneur, founding a space where students can explore and develop a wide range of skills and talents. Outside of teaching, Deeana enjoys crocheting, arts and crafts, singing, playing musical instruments, baking, modelling, and continually learning new things.
​Ms. Ivy began her dance training at the age of six at The School of Toronto City Ballet, where she studied under the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) syllabus. She successfully completed her RAD Advanced 2 exam and went on to train for the prestigious Solo Seal Award. Over the years, she has performed in a variety of classical ballets, including The Nutcracker, Paquita (2018), and Swan Lake (2022).

In 2018, Ivy joined her studio’s competitive team and began pursuing ballet more seriously. She earned numerous scholarships and overall awards at regional competitions such as StarCatchers Dance Competition, Rhythm Dance, and the Fever International Dance Championship. That same year, she began competing on the international stage at the Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP), where she placed in the Top 12 in the Senior Classical division at YAGP Pittsburgh in 2019. Her studio’s ensemble work, Peculiar Passing, was also invited to the YAGP New York Finals in 2020. Ivy was also proud to be a semi-finalist at the prestigious Genée International Ballet Competition (now the Margot Fonteyn International Ballet Competition) held in Toronto in 2019.

Ivy holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance and is currently completing her Master of Teaching at the University of Toronto. She is passionate about sharing her love of ballet and inspiring students of all ages and experience levels to find joy and confidence through dance.
Ms. Alvina began her dance journey at a young age, sparked by a love for K-pop and a passion for movement. Before receiving any formal training, she was already teaching herself choreography and learning dances she admired. In high school, she danced with her school’s dance team and performed at district-wide festivals, later joining the recreational Laidback Dance Crew to continue developing her skills and stage presence.

Since her teen years, Alvina has shared her passion by volunteering with children of all ages. Her teaching experience has grown over time to include students ranging from young kids to adults. As an instructor, she has led both competitive choreography and recreational Hip-Hop and K-Pop classes.
​
Alvina creates a dance space that is fun, energetic, and inclusive, where every student feels supported and inspired. Her classes focus on connection, self-expression, and confidence—whether students are mastering new choreography or simply enjoying the rhythm. With every session, Alvina helps dancers develop their unique style while building a strong foundation in movement and musicality.
